GROUPS I'M INVOLVED WITH

1.  i2i (Invisible to Invincible) -- This is a great little organization comprised of lesbian, gay, and bi asian american folk in Chicago.  We do events and socials and film fests.  What are we about?  Building a safe space for dialog and community for queer Asian Pacific Islanders.  Creating awareness.  Meeting new people.  And having fun.

2.  SGI (Soka Gakkai International) -- This is a huge organization for Buddhists around the world and locally.  The goal, simply put, is world peace through individual happiness.  We believe that in life every person must eventually do their "human revolution." This is the process by which they confornt their fundamental darkness to achieve enlightenment in this lifetime.  The site is pretty cool.

3.  ABNA (Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award) This is the annual contest sponsored by Amazon.com and Penguin Publishers.  The contest also creates a community of emerging novelists from around the world.  Visiting this site, one gets to sample exciting new voices that have yet to find their way into print.  You can say you knew us when!
